Moeko, a student in Tokyo, and her best friend Hikaru spend their days happily together. Their daily routine includes going to a convenience store after school for snacks and conversation. One day, after discovering Hikaru has stolen something, Moeko, driven by a sense of justice, scolds him, then claims it was due to "exam pressure" and vows never to do it again. However, the next day, Hikaru is caught stealing by the store manager, who then puts the stolen goods in Moeko's bag, shifting the blame onto Moeko.
