Suddenly, a daughter, Miku, appears before the颓废 (颓废 is a difficult word to translate directly, but it implies a state of decadence, listlessness, and a lack of motivation) middle-aged man, Kakei. He begins a hopeless cohabitation with this daughter, born to his estranged wife. But to the distraught man, this suddenly appearing daughter is merely someone to pay his monthly horse racing expenses. Amidst this chaos, debt collector Okabe arrives to collect a debt. Okabe is suspicious of Kakei's cohabitation with a young woman, and Kakei makes a surprising proposal: "...Mr. Okabe, how about we pay off this month's debt with this woman's body?"
