A young girl, full of energy. A chance encounter with an ordinary person who missed the last train turns out to be a dancer who has staked 22 years of her life on her dream. The final month of her pursuit: an intimate documentary before her final audition. Nagi Saki Aoi CAWD-919
My heart races in sync with the beat. I always stumble in the same place. My former companions have gradually drifted away, not because I dislike them, but because I've found happiness outside of music and no longer need them. No one would persist just to prove they lack talent, I tell myself. The dream I should be chasing is chasing me instead. On my days off, in my tiny three-tatami-mat apartment, clothes are strewn everywhere, and the fridge is crammed full of stockpiled food. It's not that I haven't thought about giving up, but I just can't stop, and so I've kept going until now. The beat starts, and I'm going to dance with my whole life. This is a true documentary AV, following a young aspiring dancer I met on Nakano-saka after the last train, documenting her month-long journey as she faced her final audition. A serious girl, truly fascinating.
